Input Target Text into Wordchamp.com at http://www.Wordchamp.com for instant glossing in 118 languages of your choice! Clicking on unknown words will also save them into lists online from which learners can make their own Online Flash Cards, adding L1 translations, L2 definitions and sentence examples as well as pronunciations, and then generate 12 kinds of New Word Quizzes.
Step 3:
For more "Pushed Output Productive Practice", then input the text into Vocab Profiler at http://www.lextutor.ca/vp/eng/ Print out Color-Coded Word Bands. By making questions using them, first master the most common 2,000 English words. Then focus especially on learning the 570 Academic Words. Finally work on Off-List words.

Input Target Text into Wordchamp.com at http://www.Wordchamp.com. Try to read the article, guessing appropriate meaning for newly learned words. Rikai offers a variety of possible meanings in these languages, so it is an excellent way to review new words being learned in any of them.
Step 3:
Click on any new words in Wordchamp.com, which will then be automatically archived. Before printing out this list, be sure to review the meanings in L1, which will be shown on the screen when you mouse over, but not when they are printed out. Try to write in the L1 translations after printing. Then for Homework, make up questions about the story using these new terms. Ask partners these questions in the next class as a review activity, before proceeding to using the Vocab Profiler and making up some free Interview Questions using these target terms. In this way, new terms will be more richly encountered and more thoroughly reviewed.
Print out Color-Coded Word Bands and focus especially on learning the Academic and Off-List words by making questions using them.
Step 6:
Ask your teacher to quickly check your grammar, then orally interview your partner using these questions..
Step 7:
Try to read the article again, guessing or substituting the appropriate meaning for any newly learned words
